Our Mission
Our mission is to inform the community, and especially teenagers, about the dangers of overexposure to Ultraviolet Radiation. Whether the exposure is from tanning beds or the sun, it is important for people to be informed about the dangers of ultraviolet exposure and to implement the proper techniques in protecting oneself from UV radiation.
Who We Are!
The Skin Cancer Awareness Agency started from a small group of students who attended David Starr Jordan High School. These students were members of the AIMS Academy (Aspirations in Medical Services) and they strived to inform the community about the dangers of Ultraviolet exposure.
As of now, the Skin Cancer Awareness Agency has grown in numbers since and is still currently expanding. Join us in spreading awareness about this deadly disease and help us fight the battle against Melanoma skin cancer.
